Yeah, I'd say so. I just finished Galaxy of Heroes II and enjoyed it as much as I did Heroes I. This was good old fashioned space fiction, not a whole lot of time spent explaining how this drive or that worked, all of it was spent building the characters, and walking us thru their worlds. The fast paced action, personal dramas and story continuity - had me eager to get done with my day so I could resume my sci fi escapism each evening with War Heroes.I would have enjoyed a little more intrigue, the secondary characters could've had a more active role after they were created, but those are my only complaints.
This author makes me appreciate Amazon's Indie Books! $2.99? Much too inexpensive, but puts the big publishers' $12.99 ebooks in their place.

GALAXY OF HEROES II War Heroes eBook Gus Flory Reviews
The characters and story line reminds me of the TV series FIreFly quite a bit. I won't spoil the end.....just know it's not what you expect.
The story is easy to read and makes one look forward to the next page. The ending is very interesting and turned out different from what I expected. Looking forward to the next book.
I was hopping that this book would be as good or better than his last book. Unfortunately it just didn't live up to it. I had enjoyed reading the first book but the second book took so many different off shoots that really didn't help the book. Wasting time with the surfing section wasn't needed. I hope the next book (if there is a next book) would be better.
It's a book full of action, very well defined characters, drama and suspense. A full speed reading book once you started you won't let it go till the end
Man, that was a wild ride!! Book 2 was a fight from start to finish, and what a finish it was. Though a little sad at the end, it still didn't disappoint. Love this type of series and have read some good ones. Galaxy of Heroes rates up there with the best. Beautiful women, handsome men, strong personalities, great leadership, quirky captains, exploding bombs, fast ships...what else can you expect? Can't wait to read the next adventure, which will be soon, I hope!
The levity of book one is pretty much gone as our heroes are compelled to face the dire situation unfolding. Although the story keeps moving as the threats never seem to end, the psychological weight of this never ending battle is pulling them down and an enemy agent in their midst further complicates their survival. This book is not as "fun" as book one but more of the story is being told. In hindsight, I do feel book one could have had a bit more to say about Spade's history. In any case,I will keep an eye out for book three to see what kind of trouble he gets into next.

Van Vogt could not have written it better, there is a change of scene every chapters,a nd the characters, although not life like, are likable including the female android superwoman.
